Gretchen Shegina, was

Gretchen Shegina, was teaching 5th Grade at Jefferson Elementary School when I attended school there, in 1977. It is because of Ms. Shegina that I found my love of math and of learning; she encouraged me and made me believe I was very smart. Since then I have taken many math classes; and knew that there was not a problem I could not solve. Bless you Gretchen Shegina, for the most wonderful gift you can give to a child; to believe in myself and to feel as though I could accomplish any thing I set my mind to. Today, I am a doctor of chiropractic, a life-long learner and teacher.

I congratulate you, Ms. Shegina, and wish you well on the next phase of your journey. I look forward to hearing about your meeting with Dr. Jane Goodall!

Sincerly,
Dr. Carole S. Keisteadt
